Christine Clary-Lackey

We asked Christine...

What is a problem in the Engineering & Construction Industry you'd like to fix?
I remain optimistic that pay will commiserate with one's experience, training and skillset regardless of anything else other than their attitude, emotions and behaviors. Those attributes ideally are what matters when it hits the fan. I also have and continue to contribute to mentoring and training the future generations of upcoming, younger professionals. We have a vested interest in providing positive, strong role models who exhibit compassion, kindness and general leadership to develop (and transition) them to reaching their highest potential. I feel like there's this discrimination or write-off of millennials when we should be doing the exact opposite. What would Bob Dylan be doing if Johnny Cash had not reached out to him?
What are you most passionate about personally? Professionally?
I am passionate about my mom duties and giving my kids experiences that are both legacies of learning, and for future connections. Creative living and learning speaks the strongest to me.
What is the accomplishment of which you're most proud?
I really don't have one shining moment. I have a lot of ones that I look upon that inspire me to do more, like being the first in my family to have a professional degree, having two independent children who help me clean the dishes after dinner, having a life partner that understands my inner crazy, and having the experience of a stay at home mom.
What are you happiest doing when you're not working?
Family time, visiting new places, hiking, creating, and writing.
If I weren't so good at my job, I'd probably be...
Photographer or an Educator. I have a state of Texas Teaching Certificate. I taught kindergarten one year and absolutely loved it. I really would like to move to Korea and teach with Holt International at any of their locations.
If you really know me, you'd know...
I am a Disneyphile.
