You will have design accountability for the development of electrical systems for industrial and commercial facility renovation projects. You will be the critical resource that consolidates information from the project manager and all other design disciplines to create a comprehensive set of construction documents.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum EIT license required, Licensed PE in Texas preferred

  • 4+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial & industrial facilities

  • 4+ years of experience designing retrofit solutions for existing buildings

  • Experience with main distribution design in medium voltage

  • Experience with Arc Flash studies (or willingness to learn)

  • 3+ years of Revit design experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Design-Build project experience preferred

  • Experienced with cleanrooms and critical environments preferred

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time


  • Develop electrical design solutions for a variety of facilities, from conceptual planning through final construction documents

  • Ensure constructability of electrical system design (routing conflicts, equipment requirements, space constraints, etc.) and code compliance

  • Perform field surveys including as-built conditions and building evaluations

  • Prepare quality contract documents for clients, permitting, and construction.

  • Ensure all elements of electrical design are coordinated with other design partners (mechanical, architectural, etc.) to provide a comprehensive MEP design

  • Provide construction administration services (RFI resolution, submittal reviews, shop drawing review, attend project meetings with customer and contractors, final walkthrough for design compliance inspection)

  • Communicare and coordinate work with other project partners (mechanical engineers, designers, construction professionals, etc.)

  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance of installation with design
