  • Proactively plan, communicate, and mitigate changing site safety risks daily

  • Provide initial site orientation for all site workers

  • Maintain safe work practices while ensuring OSHA compliance

  • Lead weekly toolbox talk and safety meeting & distribute minutes timely

  • Maintain detailed daily logs of subcontractors, guests, and owner visits

  • Develop and communicate emergency action plans

  • Adhere to all plant safety directives and permitting requirements


  • Serve as the on-site Subject Matter Expert for our contracted scope.  This requires thorough understanding of all construction documents including drawings, specifications, RFI’s, Submittals, and Scope Changes  

  • Resolve construction questions and issues through timely submission of RFI’s to maintain productivity and meet scheduled milestones.

  • Manage the installation quality with daily walk-throughs and inspections, timely communication of issues, and appropriate support to ensure the highest quality installation.

  • Maintain documentation on quality issues for the project file (inspections, photos, etc.)

  • Inspect material and equipment deliveries to ensure compliance with approved submittals.


  • Develop the project schedule with appropriate sequencing based on efficient workflow, procurement schedules, and critical milestones.

  • Manage procurement schedule to ensure the timely arrival of critical equipment and proper mobilization of subcontractors.

  • Maintain a current “3 Week Look-ahead” schedule to ensure the overall schedule stays on track.

  • Review the project schedule and “3 Week Lookahead” with the site lead for each subcontractor at the weekly Subcontractor meeting; review scope changes for schedule impact; address subcontractor staffing issues proactively to avoid schedule delays.

  • Ensure C1S projects are held as a priority for subcontractor, being flexible but firm .

  • Schedule inspections and mange inspector visits; maintain positive relationship with permitting authorities.

  • Protect and develop subcontractor partnerships, treating all parties with respect .

  • Utilize Lean Construction principles to eliminate waste and improve outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • C1S offers above market base pay; as well as project incentive payouts based on project profitability.  

  • C1S pays for all project travel expenses, provides per diem for meals & incidentals, and pays for regular trips home. 

  • C1S pays 100% of employee premiums for medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and long and short-term disability insurance.  

  • C1S provides 8 paid holidays and 15 days of paid time off PLUS one additional day for every year of service.

  • OHSA 10 Hour Training, OSHA 30 preferred

  • 8-12 years of construction experience 

  • 3-5 years of experience with industrial, manufacturing and cGMP facility upgrade projects

  • Capable of reading construction documents (Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Process Piping drawings, specifications, P&ID’s)

  • Experience coordinating work in and around critical facilities

  • Experience with design-build project delivery

  • Familiar with Procore Project Management software  

  • Familiar with Lean Construction practices

  • Able to travel within the US (25-50% depending on project load)
