Who We Are: C1S Group is a construction and engineering firm based in Dallas, Texas, with projects across the US. Since 2001, we've been designing and building around unknowns to improve the built environment. We are a family of engineers and construction professionals that provide design, consulting, sustainability, and construction management services to manufacturing companies with big design challenges. We are proud to have installed projects for Fortune 500 manufacturers in the food & beverage, aerospace & defense, life sciences, and technology industries. We are experts in our space, and our clients choose us because we deliver value every step of the way. This value-driven relationship is what we're all about.

C1S has been ranked in Outside Magazine's List of the 50 Best Places to Work in America for 11 years because we put our people first. If we take care of our folks and make sure they’re doing what they love, they’ll take great care of our clients. This strategy has delivered exceptional results for 24 years. If this sounds good to you, come join us. You can also check out our website to learn more about what makes us different from other design firms: www.c1sinc.com

The Spark You’ll Bring: You won’t be buried in a cubicle, endlessly tweaking outlet symbols. As an Electrical Designer at C1S, you’ll be in the mix—collaborating with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to light the way (literally and figuratively) on high-profile industrial and commercial projects. This isn’t just about stringing together circuits; it’s about building smart, scalable systems that power innovation.

We’re looking for someone who sees past the panel schedule and understands how great design shapes great construction. You should be equal parts creative problem-solver, code whisperer, and REVIT magician. Bonus points if your idea of a good time includes load calculations and you’ve ever described a conduit layout as “beautiful.”

If you can juggle NEC, Revit, and real-world field constraints without breaking a sweat—and can explain voltage drop without putting people to sleep—this role might be your perfect charge.

A Typical Day/Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical design solutions for commercial and industrial projects (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, etc.).

  • Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and existing conditions to ensure constructability and code compliance.

  • Perform field surveys including as-built conditions and building evaluations.

  • Attend kickoff, coordination, and site meetings for all projects.

  • Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to accomplish design assignments.

  • Communicate with permitting entities and utility companies to ensure design compliance.

  • Provide construction administration services (RFI resolution, submittal reviews, shop drawing review, attend project meetings with customer and contractors, final walkthrough for design compliance inspection).

  • Other duties as assigned

About You: (Your Expertise):

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.

  • EIT certification preferred.

  • 1-5 years of electrical design experience, for industrial and commercial projects.

  • Electrical equipment sizing and layout

  • Conduit sizing and routing

  • 3+ years of REVIT design experience.

  • 3+ years engineering site work preferred.

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time.

  • Design-build project experience preferred.

  • 3-D scanning, drone operation, and commissioning experience a plus.
