Can You Herd Cats... While Building Manufacturing Facilities?
Let's be honest. Construction isn't for people who like predictable days.
One minute you're reviewing submittals. The next you're solving a scheduling conflict, answering an RFI, tracking a change order, coordinating with subcontractors, and somehow still remembering where everyone agreed to meet for lunch.
If that sounds like your kind of fun, keep reading.
Who We Are
At C1S Group, we don't just build projects—we solve problems that most firms run away from.
For more than 25 years, we've partnered with Fortune 500 manufacturers to design and build facilities in the food & beverage, life sciences, aerospace & defense, and technology industries. We specialize in projects with plenty of moving parts, tight schedules, and clients who expect excellence.
We're also pretty serious about taking care of our people.
We've been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by the Dallas Business Journal because we believe that when people love where they work, amazing things happen. Around here you'll find high trust, high accountability, great teammates, very little bureaucracy, and people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
If you're looking for a company where you can wear a lot of hats, but never feel like you're on your own then you might have found your next team.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll partner closely with our Project Managers and Superintendents to help keep projects moving from kickoff to closeout.
That means you'll manage small, simple projects independently as well as assist the PM or Sr. PM with the following:
Help prepare project budgets, estimates, proposals, and cost tracking
Support project safety efforts while promoting C1S and client safety standards
Communicate proactively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project partners
Prepare project reports covering schedule, quality, safety, financials, and contractual matters
Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, ASIs, addendums, and project records
Track material deliveries and coordinate with the submittal process
Assist with project scheduling and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules
Coordinate permitting and inspections
Help manage subcontractors, quality control, and jobsite issue resolution
Assist with subcontract execution, change orders, invoice approvals, and contract administration
Participate in weekly construction meetings, project reviews, and risk management efforts
Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning, O&M manuals, owner training, and test & balance coordination
Support preconstruction, estimating, constructability reviews, subcontractor bidding, and project walks as needed
Pitch in wherever needed because that's what great teammates do
You're Probably a Great Fit If...
You naturally organize chaos instead of creating it.
People trust you because you follow through.
You don't wait to be told what needs to happen.
You can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the important ones.
You communicate clearly, even when things get stressful.
You believe details matter because you've seen what happens when they don't.
Food & Beverage project experience? Even better.
What You Bring
Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Project Management certification (preferred)
4+ years of construction experience
3+ years working on design-build projects preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Solid understanding of construction documents, terminology, and project management processes
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying detail-oriented
Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore
