Can You Keep a Project Moving... Even When Everything Else Isn't?

Construction has a funny way of testing people.

Schedules shift. Equipment is delayed. Someone always has one more question. Clients need answers. Subcontractors need direction. And somehow, everything still needs to be delivered safely, on budget, and on time.

If you're the type of person who sees all of that and thinks, "I've got this," keep reading.

Who We Are

At C1S Group, we don't just build projects. We solve problems that most firms run away from.

For more than 25 years, we've partnered with Fortune 500 manufacturers to design and build facilities in the food & beverage, life sciences, aerospace & defense, and technology industries. Many of our projects happen in active manufacturing environments where shutting down production isn't an option. That means every day requires planning, communication, creativity, and a team that knows how to adapt.

Fortunately, that's our specialty.

We're also serious about building a workplace where people actually enjoy coming to work. That's earned us recognition as one of the Best Places to Work by the Dallas Business Journal because we believe taking care of our people is the best way to take care of our clients.

Around here you'll find high trust, high accountability, talented teammates, very little bureaucracy, and people who genuinely enjoy solving tough challenges together.

The Difference You'll Make

As a Construction Project Manager I, you'll take ownership of small to mid-sized projects from kickoff through closeout. You'll be the steady hand that keeps projects moving, clients informed, budgets on track, and teams working together.

Some days you'll be reviewing schedules.

Some days you'll be leading client meetings.

Some days you'll be solving problems nobody saw coming.

Every day, you'll help turn complicated construction projects into successful outcomes.

What You'll Do

You'll work alongside Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Engineers, clients, and trade partners to keep every piece of the project moving forward.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead small to mid-sized construction projects from kickoff through closeout, managing cost, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and project documentation

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams

  • Keep clients informed through proactive communication and regular project updates

  • Promote and maintain strong safety and quality standards on every project

  • Lead design-build coordination efforts when engineering and construction overlap

  • Identify and proactively manage project risks before they become project problems

  • Partner with Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure smooth project execution

  • Mentor developing team members and contribute to a collaborative project environment

  • Continuously improve and reinforce the "C1S Way" of delivering exceptional projects

  • Successfully manage project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, owner training, and final documentation

You're Probably a Great Fit If...

  • You're the person everyone counts on when things get complicated.

  • You communicate early, often, and clearly.

  • You enjoy solving problems instead of pointing fingers.

  • You naturally build trust with clients, coworkers, and trade partners.

  • You know that details matter because small mistakes become expensive ones.

  • You take ownership and don't wait for someone else to solve the problem.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of construction experience

  • 3+ years of design-build experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of construction project management principles and documentation

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore

  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–50%

  • A team-first attitude that reflects our core values and "Make It Happen" mindset

Why C1S?

At C1S, you'll work with smart people who genuinely enjoy what they do. We celebrate wins, tackle challenges together, and believe that great projects are built by great teams. We'll take it from there.
