As the Senior Electrical Designer, you will be a critical resource that consolidates information from the project manager and will have a committed team of engineering professionals to support you. A Typical Day/Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical design solutions for advanced manufacturing and industrial projects (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.)

  • Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and existing conditions to ensure constructibility and code compliance.

  • Perform constructibility reviews to support preconstruction team.

  • Manage and/or support design projects including all communication, coordination, and schedule of deliverables.

  • Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to accomplish design assignments.

  • Communicate with permitting entities and utility companies to ensure design compliance.

  • Provide construction administration services (RFI resolution, submittal reviews, shop drawing review, attend project meetings with customer and contractors, final walk through for design compliance inspections).

  • Will require some travel, < 15%.

About You: (Your Expertise):

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.

  • Professional Engineering License preferred.

  • 8+ years of mechanical design for manufacturing, commercial and industrial buildings.

  • 4+ years of design project management experience.

  • Design-build project experience preferred.

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
