Construction Management or Engineering degree
10 years of construction experience
At least 3 years of construction experience in Life Science, Biotech and Lab projects
3 years of experience with Design-Build delivery preferred
Proven track record of success in project management (safety, quality, financial performance)
Able to travel within the US (20-25%, depending on project load)
Manage and mentor project engineers and assistant project managers on best practices and the C1S Way for the Life Sciences team.
Support the development and refinement of our process (C1S Way) to ensure consistent, effective project delivery, and positive outcomes for our clients.
Responsible for leading a cross-functional team focused on the growth of our Life Sciences market.
Assist with setting strategy, leading business development efforts, and establish training expectations for the Life Sciences team.
Support estimating and client development during the sales process to build rapport with the client and ensure a smooth transition from estimating to execution.
Possess a thorough understanding of the entire project scope and the client’s critical concerns so you can lead the project to a successful finish.
Support the development and implementation of the project safety plan per the client’s and C1S safety programs.
Develop a realistic project schedule that can be executed with effective planning and sequencing of activities. Monitor the schedule and address variances in a timely manner with all stakeholders.
Optimize the buy-out process through careful subcontractor selection, negotiation, and risk management.
Proactively manage client expectations through timely, effective communication and project leadership.
Manage the Owner contract by communicating changes in a timely manner and pushing for resolution on open items.
Maintain current project financials in Procore, including the Owner contract, budgets, commitments, and financial projections.
Schedule and lead effective weekly coordination meetings with the C1S project superintendent to monitor progress, discuss issues, and push open items to closure.

Serve as the primary risk management expert for your projects, protecting the client’s interests as well as C1S.
Serve as the Design-Build Project Manager when C1S is performing both scopes. This includes coordination and accountability for both scopes to meet project goals.
Manage the timely and efficient close-out of all projects with a complete and accurate project archive.
